MASAROL 40 % is an excellent wetting agent to give a rapid and uniform penetration of strong alkaline solutions into cotton and polyester blends (Yarns/Fabrics) during mercerizing process. The high wetting out properties of MASAROL 40 % enables good mercerization even in the grey stage, which enables the subsequent boiling treatment either to be eliminated or carried out for a short duration. This results in softer yarns.
MASAROL 40 % is a mercerizing agent with reduced foaming. In order to impart luster, increased strength and improved dye up to cotton fabrics and yarn, they are mercerized either in the grey state or after bleaching.
MASAROL 40 % is recommended to be used, in the liquor of 22.4% Caustic Soda solution.
MASAROL 40 % is added to caustic lye of required strength @ 2 – 4gpl & then sprayed on the fabric as it is drawn over circular expanders under contro l led tension followed by washing out the r esidual caustic before further processing.
